No. The Ed Factory is an independent LLC, not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions support our educational and creative work but are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

Contributions support The Ed Factory’s seminars, writing workshops, Prose Lab work with young people and adults, visiting artists and writers, full and partial fellowships, reduced-rate access, program materials, public events, archives, and operating costs.

Yes! The Ed Factory is always looking for support with Program Stewardship during seminars, especially Discourses of Difference, which runs 47.5 hours across four weekends. We are also looking for volunteer writing coaches, online writing camp facilitators for young people, and general administrative support.
The Ed Factory currently works with volunteer Program Stewards and shares earnings, when available, with facilitators, guest artists, and writers. We are an LLC, not a nonprofit, and the project is not currently profit-generating.

Yes. The Ed Factory welcomes in-kind support when it directly serves our programs and participants. Current needs include, but are not limited to:
Pro bono legal support
Donated MacBooks and iPhones, or other reliable Apple technology
Zoom or online event support
Books used during seminars for fellows and participants
Free or reduced-cost event space
Audio and editing support
Technology teaching for participants
