NARRATIVE INQUIRY
Inquiry Into Lived Experience
Narrative Inquiry begins from a simple premise: experience is legitimate.
School, work, and civic conditions are changing in ways that require consequential decisions about how to live, work, and participate. Grounded in listening, dialogue, and writing, Narrative Inquiry empowers people in early adulthood to recognize challenges in school, work, and social life as shaped by broader conditions and institutions rather than personal failure.
Narrative Inquiry extends the same listening and narrative practices that shape Ed Factory workshops and writing support into one-to-one conversations focused on interpreting lived experience and moving toward intentional action. Sessions combine reflective dialogue with practical movement toward educational, professional, creative, and personal paths.
The practice supports people in interpreting experience, recognizing the forces shaping their lives and choices, questioning internalized narratives, and making decisions that reduce harm and preserve dignity.
If you are in early adulthood and seeking a place to think carefully before acting — or facing decisions about next steps in school, work, or your social life — get in touch.
