In our Prose Lab, we provide writing support for projects, applications, and major decisions. Sessions use writing as a way to clarify ideas, examine experience, and move work forward.
Approach
Conversational and practical, Prose Lab sessions use writing as a site of inquiry, helping writers hear their language, sharpen ideas, and strengthen prose. The work is shaped by each writer’s questions, materials, and context, whether oriented toward a project, an application, or a publication.
Specialists
Writers at The Ed Factory are grounded in strong language and critical ideas about lived experience. Specialists offer one-to-one support shaped by their own writing and research practices.
Begin with a free consultation. Short-notice support is sometimes available up to 48 hours before a deadline.
Writers under 18 register with a parent or guardian.

Prose Lab sessions often begin with writing, but extend into questions about work, relationships, and direction. Many participants arrive with experiences framed as personal difficulties. Through writing and dialogue, those experiences are re-examined in relation to broader social and institutional conditions.
This process supports clearer thinking, stronger decisions, and more deliberate movement through work and life.
